DTF (Direct to Film) printing produces photorealistic graphics on any fabric from 1 piece, at EUR 8-15 per A4-size piece — no stencils, no colour limitations and no minimum orders. If you print T-shirts, workwear or promotional items in quantities up to 200 pieces, this is the most cost-effective and quality-optimal option available.
What Is DTF Printing?
DTF stands for Direct to Film — printing directly onto a special PET film. The graphic is inkjet-printed, coated with hot-melt adhesive powder and then heat-pressed onto the textile. The result is a durable, elastic print at up to 1,440 dpi resolution.
The process in 4 steps: file preparation (CMYK + white underbase) → printing onto PET film → adhesive powder application → transfer to fabric at 160–170 °C for 15 seconds.

Who Is DTF For?
Small runs (1–200 pieces): Promotional T-shirts for events, corporate gifts, merch for local brands. At these quantities, screen printing is not economical; DTF maintains quality and colour accuracy.
Complex, colourful graphics: Photographs, gradients, illustrations with many colours. Screen printing would require 6+ stencils — DTF prints everything in one pass.
Printing on dark fabrics: Sublimation is out (works only on light polyester). DTF with a white underbase ensures vivid colours even on black T-shirts.
Workwear: Logos on polo shirts, jackets, overalls. DTF withstands industrial washing at 60 °C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does DTF print survive washing?
Yes. Quality DTF printing withstands 50+ washes at 40 degrees C. It is also suitable for industrial washing at 60 degrees C, though lifespan shortens to approximately 30 washes.
Is DTF suitable for dark garments?
Yes. DTF uses a white ink underbase beneath the colour graphic, so colours remain vivid even on black, dark blue or red fabrics.
What is the difference between DTF and DTG?
DTG (Direct to Garment) prints directly onto the fabric; DTF prints onto a film that is then transferred. DTF is more versatile — it works on more materials, requires no fabric pre-treatment and has lower maintenance costs.
